GF homemade bread mix

Don’t ya hate making bread every day?  Ugg.  I sure do.  But gotta be done, so here’s a way to make it easier:

Make your own pre-pkg breadmixes.

We put all this in a 4 cup container: 1tbsp xantham gum, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 cup tapioca starch, 1/2 cup ground flax, 2 cups rice flour, 1/4 cup sugar.

I make one week’s worth of containers(5) at a time.  And my Emma loves to help!

To make bread: place in bread maker 2 beaten eggs, 1 1/2 cup warm milk, 1/3 cup oil, and dry ingredients, and top with 1 tbsp yeast.  We use the “gluten free” setting, with a “2 lb loaf”, and “light” crust.

Other than paying $7 for a cardboard-resembling loaf, that’s as easy as it comes, hon!

  1. I think that’s a really smart idea! I’ve never tried the flax in bread before.

    Thanks!
