This is our first week back to school here. My 8 year old is entering grade 3. We have a 4 year old entering Preschool and a toddler at home. Back to school for us, usually means lighter lunches at home, and bigger afternoon snacks. In previous years, my grade school daughter has been starving after school!
Monday: long weekend: Pancakes and maple sausages for brunch, Taco Salad for supper.
Tuesday: FIRST DAY! Cereal and eggs for bkfst
Brown Bags: Homemade Lunchables
SNACK: crackers, cheese, tomato soup (+ enough for tomorrow’s lunch thermos)
Supper: Pasta Alfredo (+pasta salad on Thurs) with Chicken bsts, simple coleslaw
Wednesday: Brown Bags: Tomato soup (from yesterday)++
Snack: Popcorn, banana bread, milk
Supper: Adobo, steamed rice, caesar salad, peas (+pasta salad tomorrow)
Thursday: Brown Bags: Pasta Salad (peas & pasta already cooked)
SNACK: ambrosia salad
Supper: Baked chicken (using Kraft Shake’n'Bake) Mashed potatoes (+shepherds pie on Sat)
Friday: Brown bags: ham & cheese wraps
SNACK: smoothie, cream cheese & rice cakes
Supper: dinner out
Bonus: Saturday evening – shepherd's pie (mashed potatoes already cooked)
