Back to School Menu

This is our first week back to school here.  My 8 year old is entering grade 3.  We have a 4 year old entering Preschool and a toddler at home.  Back to school for us, usually means lighter lunches at home, and bigger afternoon snacks.  In previous years, my grade school daughter has been starving after school!  :)

Monday:  long weekend:  Pancakes and maple sausages for brunch, Taco Salad for supper.

Tuesday:  FIRST DAY!  Cereal and eggs for bkfst

Brown Bags: Homemade Lunchables

SNACK:  crackers, cheese, tomato soup (+ enough for tomorrow’s lunch thermos)

Supper:  Pasta Alfredo (+pasta salad on Thurs) with Chicken bsts, simple coleslaw

Wednesday:  Brown Bags: Tomato soup (from yesterday)++

Snack:  Popcorn, banana bread, milk

Supper:  Adobo, steamed rice, caesar salad, peas (+pasta salad tomorrow)

Thursday:  Brown Bags:  Pasta Salad (peas & pasta already cooked)

SNACK: ambrosia salad

Supper:  Baked chicken (using Kraft Shake’n'Bake) Mashed potatoes (+shepherds pie on Sat)

Friday:     Brown bags:  ham & cheese wraps

SNACK: smoothie, cream cheese & rice cakes

Supper: dinner out

Bonus:  Saturday evening – shepherd's pie (mashed potatoes already cooked)
