Like most candy, this is really for adults-only to do. Sugar boils hotter than oil and water and will burn incredibly well into our skin. It is to be handled with care!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup almonds, sliced
- 1/2 white sugar
Directions:
- Heat skillet on med-high heat until hot.
- Add sugar & almonds.
- The sugar will melt, at this point it is only seconds away from being toasted or burnt.
- Stir constantly until they are toasted a light golden brown.
- Remove immediately from pan onto wax or parchment paper.
And please! Be careful. Once cooled, break apart and place in air tight dish. These are fabulous on any summer salad!
