FLOP (again)

Wouldn’t you know it?  The ONE time I actually follow a recipe, it doesn’t work!  So three batches later, we have this:

playdough

These are our decorations infused with sprinkles and drying: (I imagine they look their best NOW, pre-finger-paint.)

So here’s the how to, although I may try another version soon:

1 cup cornstarch + 2/3 cup cold water,stirred

2 cups salt + 2/3 cup hot water – bring to boil

  1. bring the salt and water to a boil.
  2. Add the cornstarch mixture.
  3. Stir, cooking on low until the whole thing has changed to a translucent color.  Ya gonna have to use your muscles for this one!  It takes between 7 – 10 minutes.
