Spagetti with Ground Beef Sauce

Spaghetti w/ PrimaVera:

  • Rice Pasta from Galloways Specialty Foods.  Cooked in a new/never-used-for-gluten sauce pan.  TIP:  I drain the rice pasta half way through cooking for my own sanity -the water will turn opaque white with starch which is just not “normal”, so I drain it and rinse it well with water, return to the burner, and rinse again when cooked. 
  • Lean Ground Beef.  All President’s Choice/ No Name meats (not deli/ prepared or packaged meats) are gluten-free.  They don’t use any gluten for packaging, etc.  They DO use collagen in the ham though.  Scramble fry and add to sauce.  TIP: purchase the club pack of beef, scramble fry the whole thing, package into sandwich size ziploc baggies and freeze. 
  • President’s Choice 7-Vegetable Primavera.   As of summer, 2007, it was gluten free, and FULL of vegetables – real veggies.  Not pureed.
