Its been a while, folks. I had all but given up on my ability to cook there for awhile. But the last week or so has seen a little revival in mama’s cooking spirits. And tonight, there was EVEN a little spark of creativity! This is a new favorite with the kids too!
Ingredients:
- 1lb ground beef
- 2 Tbsp Club House All-in-One Thai Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp curry (you can vary this according to your family’s preference)
- dash ground pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1.5 cups water
- 1.5 cups milk (or cream, if you have it)
- 2.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- frozen GF (of course!) french fries
Instructions:
- Cook the fries according to pkg directions.
- Scramble fry the beef, with all the seasonings
- Once cooked, add the water and bring to simmer.
- Slowly pour 1 cup of hot seasoned beef to milk. Stir. Add milk mixture to pan. Heat to simmer.
- Mix together 2 Tbsp cornstarch and 2tsp water. Add to the saucepan. Heat to thicken.
- Remove from heat, stir in cheese until melted.
- Serve the fries on a plate with sauce on top.
- Extra sour cream and/or shredded cheese for garnish (if you are garnish-inclined.)
Voila! An international experience (I’m not sure which nation, but whatever…)
