So my new sponsors (I suppose they’re not really new any longer) have totally come through for me. Maybe for you too, but definitely for me! I signed up with them knowing that General Mills had very few Gluten Free brands – the only one that is mostly gluten free is the Old El Paso, but now that they have the multi-grain tacos, I’m not sure that they’re ‘mostly’ gluten free either! But they had promised to have good news for celiacs in Canada this summer. And, boy do they ever!
They’ve brought gluten free cereal into Canada so we don’t have to go South of the border to get it any more. Its in the regular cereal aisle, in your regular grocery store, at regular prices.
AND, now I hear they are bringing Betty Crocker Gluten Free mixes into Canada too. Let me tell you – I’ve tried the chocolate cake, chocolate brownies, and chocolate chip cookies from the US gluten free Betty Crocker mixes, and they are SCRUMPTIOUS. And easy to make, just like you’d expect. Its crazy how very gluten-like they are. So, that is great news I’ll be able to share with you soon.
Those LMD people have been busy little beavers, ’cause tonight I found their Gluten Free Recipe collection – seriously!
Ps – if you live in a dual-mode house like we are, lots of the General Mills cereal boxes have a coupon on the box for $5 worth of free ICE CREAM – whatever brand you want!
