Pizza – Eat to Live Style

This is based on a recipe by Dr. Fuhrman and found in his Eat to Live book.  I insist on calling it “Broccoli Buns” so the expectations are low. But my girls love it, and have changed the name to pizza!

Pizza – Eat to Live Style


  • whole wheat pita pockets, halved
  • OR brown rice wraps
  • crushed tomatoes or no-salt tomato sauce
  • Italiano, or oregano & basil & garlic powder
  • broccoli, finely chopped
  • onions, thinly sliced
  • mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • roasted red pepper
  • pineapple (we're Canadian - we love pineapple on pizza!)


  1. Lay out pizza shells, top with sauce. And sprinkle with herbs.
  2. Layer a thick topping of the finely chopped broccoli (as you would with cheese)
  3. Layer toppings as desired.
  4. Bake 350 10min until heated through.
